Scope of Engagement

In line with current CPA Australia Professional regulations all of our work is confirmed with an engagement letter. The following is an example of this and includes our current charge out rates.

In line with current CPA Australia Professional regulations we have outlined the terms of our agreement for accounting and taxation services.

We will be responsible for the following:

1. Preparation of the annual (periodical) financial statements, and income tax returns for the business and individuals; and,
2. Preparation of periodical profit and loss statements as required for the purposes of the Business Activity Statements.

The conduct of our Accounting and Tax work performed is in accordance with the Australian Accounting Standards, meaning that information acquired by us in the course of our work performed is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. Information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law or professional standards, or with your express consent. Our client files may, however, be subject to review as part of the quality control review program of CPA Australia which monitors compliance with professional standards by its members. We advise you that by signing this letter you acknowledge that, if requested, our client files will be made available under this program. Should this occur, we will advise you. The same strict confidentiality requirements apply under this program as apply to us as your Accountant.

Our involvement in this type of engagement will not disclose fraud, defalcations or other irregularities, which may occur. However, any material weaknesses in the accounting or internal control systems, which come to our notice, will be drawn to your attention.

Our firm has a full contingent of Accountants including a registered tax agent and fully qualified Accountants. Our fees, which will be billed as work progresses, are based on the time required by the individuals assigned to the engagement plus direct out-of-pocket expenses.
