Over recent months we have connected some Kennerlys’ clients with David Emby, a Certified Financial Planner, to provide specialised and trusted financial planning, investment and retirement advice. So, I thought it was a good time to catch up with David to hear about his experience so far, working with Kennerlys and our clients, and to introduce him to all our clientele — should you also need assistance with your financial planning, investment and retirement strategies.
David, with 24 years’ experience in financial planning and as co-owner of a successful financial advisory firm in Perth, what attracted you to team with Kennerlys and our clients?
Well Lejo, after a couple of meetings with yourself and the Kennerlys team, I quickly saw that Kennerlys has a very similar value set as myself and my firm. Your team is dedicated to personalised, expert service and strives to be the principle accounting, taxation and superannuation advisor for your clients.

The synergies between the two teams work perfectly. When we are meeting with clients our discussions for example, might be about business succession and self-managed super funds, and we can now provide highly-relevant and connected advice for a more well-rounded approach. We can also bring in other known and trusted professionals as required, such as legal experts, and will ensure they have the same level of expertise and dedication.
How long have you been working with Kennerlys, David?
Our initial discussions commenced in October 2016 and we began connecting with some Kennerlys clients soon afterwards. Over the past six months however, we’ve been engaging closely with a growing number of clients at the Kennerlys office and at my location in Subiaco.
What’s the top thing you like about partnering with Kennerlys?
I think that your clients have a very clear understanding that you value them and always put them first. So, when we come in, we’re being introduced as a trusted advisor of Kennerlys – almost like an extension of your firm. I think that’s why it works so smoothly. Clients really do feel valued.
